POTTERY is helping people to recover from mental illness.
Bromley-based Credo runs twice-weekly sessions from its workshop in Anchor House, Station Road, Orpington, to help give people the confidence to either go back to work or into further education.
Fifteen to 17 people attend the sessions every Monday and Tuesday.
They learn basic pottery skills and eventually move on to using a potter's wheel to make pots.
Project worker Anne Bannon said: "The mood-raising effect which creative activity has on people is very important.
"We offer a structured day so there is something to get up for because motivation can be very difficult after a period of mental illness."
Visit credoceramics.org for details of how to enroll for the sessions.
