POLICE are appealing for help in identifying a man who used a red fluid-filled syringe to try and rob an off licence.
The suspect threatened a shop assistant at Threshers, Beckenham Lane, Bromley, and demanded money from the till.
He ran out of the shop empty-handed when the assistant refused to give him any money and told him he was going to call the police.
The man is described as a 30-year-old white male with blond hair.
He was wearing a blue woollen hat, a navy fleece top and faded blue jeans.
Detective Constable Emma Harvey said: "I would ask everyone to take the time to look at these CCTV pictures and if you think you recognise the suspect, please call me as soon as possible at Bromley CID on 020 8284 9966, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
The attempted robbery happened at 9.15pm on November 16 last year.
