TRAINEES met with potential employers at an open day held to help them find work.
Yesterday's open day at the Field Studies Centre, Scadbury Park, Chislehurst, was full of trainees talking to employers about what skills they have learned.
The centre offers a variety of courses including painting and decorating, construction and environmental conservation to the long-term unemployed.
Bromley's head of countryside and community development for leisure and culture, Jessica Ward, said: "This was the first time we had organised this kind of open day and a good number of businesses came along.
"They were able to let us know the skills they required from their employees and also stand to benefit from the work of our trainees."
The centre is looking for employers who want to take on trainees for four-week work placements and help give them permanent employment.
