ADULT LEARNING: An Adult Learning Inspectorate has judged Bromley's adult education classes to be in the top 20 per cent of those in the UK. Inspectors visited the Bromley Adult Education College campuses and interviewed 1,000 learners and 190 staff, judging 67 per cent of classes as good or better. PIZZA ACTION: Domino Pizza has applied to open a takeaway at Station Road, West Wickham. Bromley Council has received a number of objections to the plans because of potential noise and disturbance and because they believe there are already too many takeaways in West Wickham. The application will be discussed at the planning sub-committee meeting tomorrow.

CALLED TO HALL: Police were called to reports of underage drinking at a hall in Windsor Drive, Chelsfield. Between 150 and 180 young people were asked to leave at around 9.30pm, on January 21. There were also reports of youth disorder in Station Approach, Chelsfield.

BOTTLE FIGHT: Police were called to reports of between 30 and 40 youths fighting with bottles outside Petts Wood station. The gangs, thought to be from Eltham and Turpington Lane, Bromley, were dispersed on January 20, at 9.50pm. No arrests were made.
