BRICK ATTACK: The Old Bailey heard how a teenager was battered over the head with a brick as he chased a gang of robbers. Sebastian Blades was allegedly attacked by Nicholas Mynott while chasing robbers who stole his watch and chain in Brockley Cross, Brockley, on June 26 last year. Mynott, aged 23, of Northbrook Road, Lee, denies causing actual bodily harm with intent. The trial has been adjourned until February 15.
KIDNAP CHARGE: A man has appeared in court charged with a violent kidnap. Daniel Buchanan, aged 23, of no fixed abode, appeared at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on January 19 accused of kidnapping a 25-year-old bus driver in Deptford in September last year. He was remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court tomorrow.
STAR VISIT: Actress Shiela Hancock visited Lewisham Register Office in Lewisham High Street to discover more about her family tree for the BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? programme, which was broadcast last week.
