DIGNITARIES from across the world gathered to celebrate the centenary of one of the borough's landmark buildings.
Greenwich mayor Councillor Paul Tyler and more than 100 guests attended a reception to mark the 100th birthday of Woolwich Town Hall, Wellington Street.
Guests had the chance to see an exhibition featuring a written history of the town hall and old pictures of the building.
They were entertained by children from Mulgrave Primary School, Macbean Street, Woolwich, who sang songs from the early 1900s.
Among the guests were Ghanaian High Commissioner Issac Osei and Slovenian Ambassador Iztok Misosic.
Both men were invited to celebrate Greenwich's twin town scheme, which has seen it twinned with Slovenian town Maribor and Tema in Ghana.
The exhibition, which is open to the public, runs for the next two weeks.
