SWIMMERS are being urged to do their bit to help raise £2m for a children's charity.
Lewisham residents of all ages and abilities can take part in Swimathon 2006 between March 23 and March 26.
The annual event, which is in its 20th year, aims to raise £2m for NCH, a charity which works with vulnerable young people.
Swimmers can don their goggles at The Bridge Leisure Centre, Kangley Bridge Road, Sydenham; Forest Hill Pools, Dartmouth Road, Forest Hill, or Ladywell Leisure Centre, Lewisham High Street.
Cabinet member for culture Councillor Alyson McGarrigle said: "This is a great way to get some exercise while raising money for a good cause."
