IT TAKES more than a cat among the pigeons to clear a supermarket of the pesky birds.
So Asda supermarket in Thames Way, Gravesend, employed the services of a Harris hawk and a falcon to scare them away.
The birds of prey are handled by falconers from Gravesend-based pest control company Euroguard.
Service manager Declan Keegan says the birds of prey fly at the pests.
They then take over the pigeons' territory.
The team is visiting the site several hours a day this week to ensure this happens.
Mr Keegan said: "It's a natural form of pest control.
"People do not want the pigeons shot or killed."
