A MUSEUM has donated more than £1,000 to landscape a garden for the benefit of people with mental-health illnesses.
The Hornimam Museum, London Road, Forest Hill, has donated the proceeds from its Christmas carol concert to neighbour Sydenham Gardens, Holland Drive, Forest Hill.
The sum of £1,353 will help revamp the gardens and go towards the renovation of a Victorian conservatory.
Gardens project co-ordinator Nick Fry said: "We are delighted to receive such a generous donation from the Horniman Museum.
"It will make a big difference to the development of the project and improvement to the quality of people's lives in the community."
