BEXLEY'S London Assembly member Bob Neill has criticised the deal which will see London's transport chief walk away with thousands of pounds of taxpayers' cash.
Former CIA agent Bob Kiley, brought in from New York by London Mayor Ken Livingstone to sort out London's Tube network, is leaving his job three years into his four-year contract.
He was headhunted by Mr Livingstone after his work on improving the New York subway.
But after leaving his London job, he will be re-employed by the Mayor as a consultant on a salary of £3,200 a day, according to Mr Neill.
Mr Kiley will also receive a £745,000 pay-off and the free use of his current £2.1m Belgravia home, paid for by Transport for London, which would cost £113,425 a year to rent.
Mr Neill has questioned whether Mr Kiley is really worth the £1.1m he is going to be paid by Londoners this year.
Mr Neill said: "This shambolic situation has left the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pouinds out of pocket."
He added it was time Mr Livingstone took better care of Londoners' money.
