COMMUNITY groups looking to start up a new project have only five more weeks to get their hands on £38,000.
The Dartford Local Board is looking to give away the cash to groups within the borough wanting to change their area for the better.
Anyone wanting to revamp a park or set up a youth club should make an application for a grant by February 28.
From a total pot of £60,000, the board, made up of six Dartford Councillors, has so far given away £22,000 to projects.
This includes a project organised by Wilmington Parish Council, which was given £750 in December towards the building of a playground in Chestnut Grove, Joydens Wood.
To make an application, call grant community liaison manager Kayley Phillips on 01622 696067.
