BROMLEY Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for 24 people to become governors.

They will help develop the trust's services by attending meetings and talking to residents about what they want from the borough's hospitals.

They need to be a member of the foundation trust and will receive expenses but will not be paid.

Trust chairman Anthony Levy said: "Becoming a governor is an opportunity to play an active role in the life and development of Bromley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

"It will provide an opportunity to contribute your own views on trust issues and represent the views of your community."

The council will be made up of 14 members of the public, six staff, four patients and 11 non-elected members.

An information pack and application form to stand for election as a governor can be obtained from the membership helpline on 0870 702 0186.

Applications must be in by February 3.
