OBJECTIONS IN: Bromley Council has raised objections to a planning application submitted to Bexley Council by Toyota Tsusho Auto Mobile.
The company wants to build a motor dealership centre near the borough's boundary in Maidstone Road, Sidcup, with showrooms and offices. Bromley Council says it will increase traffic congestion.
CLEAN UP: Firefighters became road cleaners when they attended a suspected tree fire at the junction of Old Hill and Shire Lane, Green Street Green. On arrival at just after 5.30pm last Sunday the firefighters from Biggin Hill found tree branches and debris in the road but no evidence of a fire.
TREE BLAZE: A burning tree took firefighters from Bromley fire station less than 20 minutes to put out last Saturday evening. Four firefighters attended the fire which took place in a field near Burrfield Drive and Blacksmiths Lane, St Mary Cray, at about 6.40pm.
DRINK UP: A pub has applied to extend its opening hours. The Sydney Arms, Old Perry Street, Chislehurst, wants to open until 1am, every night. Bromley Council's licensing sub-committee will hear the case on Friday.
SHOPPED: Bromley Council has approved an application to turn the shops at 11 and 13 Church Road, Crystal Palace, into a community police office. They will have a changing area in the basement.
