UNDERAGE BUYERS: A host of traders could face prosecution after they were caught selling alcohol to underage buyers.
A Lewisham trading standards operation found that 32 out of 112 licensees were prepared to sell alcohol to a test buyer aged between 14 and 16. All staff who sold to underage drinkers were fined £80, but licensees could be fined £5,000 if they are prosecuted.
GAY MARRIAGES: Nearly 50 same-sex couples in Lewisham have taken advantage of the new laws on civil partnership. Since gay marriages were brought in last month, 21 couples have entered into a civil partnership and a further 27 booked ceremonies.
BUS CRASH: Four people, including the driver, suffered minor injuries after a bus ploughed into a shop front, in Lewis Grove, Lewisham. Three fire crews were called to deal with the crash, which happened just after 1am, on Monday.
SUSPECT IN COURT: John McGrady, aged 47, of Milford Towers, Catford, who is charged with the murder of schoolgirl Rochelle Holness, is appearing at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on Friday.
MAN FOUND: A 22-year-old man who went missing last week has been found. Dieu-Merci Katu, from Lewisham, was found a week after he disappeared on January 9.
