A PROMINENT figure in the borough's leading town centre has been given the task of promoting it and attracting visitors.
Ian Payne, 47, has been given the job of Bromley town centre manager.
His priorities include addressing anti-social behaviour and organising events to promote the town and attract more people.
Mr Payne, who lives in Bromley, was the town's chaplain for four years and works for The Salvation Army.
He has a background in public relations and has worked with the Salvation Army as well as the BBC.
Mr Payne said: "I am excited I will be part of a team achieving great things for Bromley town centre."
Bromley's executive councillor for the local economy Councillor Colin Bloom said: "Ian's ability to connect with people will be very important in improving dialogue between business and agencies, such as the council and police.
"The months ahead are critical in maintaining and improving our competitive position."
