BIRD lovers who enjoy watching the feathered friends which visit their gardens are being pressed into action by Bexley Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
Next weekend Bexley RSPB wants people to keep a log of all the birds they see in their local park, back garden or school playing field, over a period of an hour.
Members of the group will be at Hall Place, Bourne Road, Bexley, from 10am to 3pm on January 28 to hand out logs and forms to anyone in the community who wants to take part.
They will also be setting out bird feeders and telescopes in the gardens to entice birds in for easy viewing.
Bexley RSPB group leader John Turner said: "This is an ideal opportunity for anyone with an interest in bird life to develop it further.
"Children make great observers and will be especially welcome."
