A VOLUNTEER service is appealing for people to give up their time to transport people to appointments. Volunteer Centre Gravesham operates the scheme for elderly and disabled people with no means of transport available to them.
Drivers pick clients up from their home and wait while they attend health appointments.
Volunteers will need their own car and a current driving licence.
Drivers will be reimbursed 40p per mile petrol money and any expenses will be paid by the client. Volunteer centre administrator Anne Machin said: "Without volunteers we would be unable to offer this service."
