A LUCKY resident has scooped a six-figure lottery sum after nearly forgetting to claim the prize.
The mystery winner, who has asked to remain anonymous, is from Bexley and won £136,885 from the Lotto draw on December 3 last year.
The winning numbers were 2, 10, 11, 28, 36, 47 and the bonus ball was 33.
But the winner only realised more than a month later and had the ticket validated by lottery operator Camelot on January 10.
Lottery winners have 180 days to claim their prize. After this has elapsed winnings are donated to the Good Causes Fund.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "We are delighted the winner of this prize has come forward and we hope they will enjoy their win.
"It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money."
