A STATE-OF-THE-ART adult learning centre is on track to open later this year.
The Granville Park Adult and Community Learning Centre should be open by April, says a council committee.
The centre, in Granville Park, Lewisham, will have 11 classrooms and offer courses in everything from pottery and metalwork to computing.
There will also be facilities for disabled learners and a creche which will be able to accommodate up to 20 children.
A report published by Lewisham's social inclusion select committee says the centre will help to "address the social isolation of many learners".
Adult learning courses are being moved to Granville Park from the Mornington Centre, New Cross, which will be used as temporary location by two primary schools Asmead and Childeric while they are being rebuilt.
