CHARITABLE youngsters have been doing their bit to help children less fortunate than themselves.
Pupils from Thomas Tallis School, Kidbrooke Park Road, Kidbrooke, have spent the past month contributing to the Blue Peter appeal.
The pupils collected seven mugs of old coins and notes and 37 unwanted mobile phones, which will be recycled to raise money for children's charity Child Line.
Deputy headteacher Maggie Richards said: "We are very pleased to support this appeal, particularly as Child Line has strong connections with our own anti-bullying campaign."
The appeal, which has so far raised a total of £45,000, is run every year by the BBC children's programme.
