DRIVERS are ruining crops by using their vehicles on private farmland.
Gerry Minister's crops at Luddesdown Organic Farm, near Meopham, have been destroyed five times in the past two months by 4x4 drivers.
The farm manager says drivers come to the 900-acre farm at night and use the land to test drive their off-road vehicles.
In the last incident, which occurred between 10am on December 21 and noon on December 22 and caused £1,000 damage, a driver ploughed through fencing and ruined crops in five fields.
Mr Minister: "A lot of work goes into preparing the fields. This will affect our harvest.
"I am not sure they know what they are driving over."
Now a police poster campaign will warn drivers they will be prosecuted and could have their cars confiscated for driving on private land without permission.
Anyone with information should call investigating officer PC Helen Lamb on 01322 283034.
