PEOPLE with enthusiasm and who want to help their community are being asked to volunteer their services to the police.
Bexley police are looking for volunteers to help staff the front counter at Belvedere police station in Nuxley Road.
Volunteer co-ordinator Adrian Smith explained using volunteers would enable the police station to open to the public on a more regular basis while releasing officers for other duties.
He said: "We will provide all the necessary training and can promise the volunteers will find the role both interesting and challenging."
The station is hosting an open day on February 4 from 10am to 1pm.
Potential volunteers can visit to find out more and meet meet other people who already do the same work at Sidcup police station.
Volunteers must be aged over the age of 18.
Those who are interested but cannot attend the open day can call Adrian Smith on 020 8284 9253 or email adrian.smith@met.police.uk
