A COMMUNITY is working together to bring football and a team spirit to deprived areas.
Crystal Palace Football Club, Bromley police and young people have been supporting and joining in free football coaching sessions at The Groves estate, Penge and St Hugh's estate, Anerley.
The scheme is part of Crystal Palace FC's Football in the Community scheme and youngsters, aged 11 to 19, can just turn up and play.
The football club's positive futures social inclusion officer David Blitz said: "The programme gives people the opportunity to take part in activities they would not normally get a chance to, say if there is not a lot going on in the area."
The next session is tomorrow at Penge Recreation Ground, Penge High Street.
The 11 to 14-year-old session begins at 5pm and the 15 to 19-year-old session is at 6.30pm.
