A digital camera and computer equipment will make life easier for stroke patients.
Patients in Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust's stroke unit will be able to point to pictures of things on the camera to tell staff what they want.
Staff at the unit in Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough Common, Orpington, are also planning to make up a booklet of photos specific to each patient.
Staff nurse Trish Cossar said: "This will make life a lot easier and will give them a way of expressing themselves."
Cash for the equipment came from a £750 donation by The Glades shopping centre.
