PETTS WOOD GARDEN SOCIETY
This society ceased to function many years ago and since this time, as past treasurer, I have tried to make arrangements for the closure of the bank account and distribution for the remaining balance of £1195.45.
After taking legal advice and with the full agreement of Lloyds TSB, the society's bankers, they agreed to accept my sole signature for the closure of the account.
Additionally my legal adviser confirmed that the donation of these monies would be a reasonable and acceptable solution in finalising this unsatisfactory situation.
After careful consideration I decided to donate these funds equally between Petts Wood War Memorial Trust and Harris HospiceCare and I trust that my actions are acceptable to all past members of the Society. D Hibbert.
