SWANLEY ACTIVE RETIREMENT ASSOCIATION
Our programme for December was very full. on December 3 we went to Rochester for the Dickens Festival and on the 6th, 120 members sat down for Christmas lunch at the Alexandra Suite, Swanley, entertainment followed given by a group of musicians led by Mark Fittock.
December 12 saw us going to the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London for a cracking Christmas Show given by the BBC Concert Orchestra. A really good evening with music to suit many tastes.
At our monthly meeting on the following day we had Christine Pope reciting her own poems, some were very seasonally apt.
Our ten pin bowling has continued but our walkers have found conditions underfoot not to thier liking, unfortunately our keep fit programme will not continue in 2006 because of lack of support.
