A COMPETITION has been launched urging residents to make recycling a New Year's resolution.
Gravesham Council is testing recycling knowledge across the borough through an online quiz.
Prizes up for grabs include a VIP lunch, a £50 voucher and a composting bin.
Last Christmas, 1,410 tonnes of waste was generated across the area.
The council hopes people will use the Clear Bag scheme to recycle festive rubbish and everyday items.
Council leader Councillor John Burden said: "It is really important people keep up the good work after Christmas and continue to recycle as much as possible."
