A MOTHER and daughter accused of murdering a 24-year-old man at a hostel for the homeless have been remanded in custody.
Dezdemona Balla, aged 48, of no fixed address and Renata Mitre, aged 22, of Queens Road, New Cross, appeared before Greenwich Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of Aaron Stokes on Friday.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in a communual room at Centrepoint Hostel, Queens Road, New Cross, at 12.45am on January 2.
Mr Stokes was taken to King's College Hospital in London where he died shortly after arrival.
Balla and Mitre were arrested at the scene and remained in custody at south London police stations.
They are due to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on April 13.
