TODDLERS made friends and played games at a state-of-the-art nursery.
The West Street Children's Centre, Maxim Road, Erith, is currently the only nursery in Bexley which offers a one-stop-shop service for families.
The SureStart-funded nursery, which opened in March last year, provides childcare and a host of other facilities for children aged from six weeks to five years.
These include health care, dietitians, speech therapists and child behaviour experts.
The aim of the centre is to provide childcare in deprived areas where parents can access important services under one roof.
As the new year gets under way, nursery manager Lynn Attoe is hoping more parents will get involved in the play sessions and baby groups.
She said: "We have a fantastic service here and it would be great to see more parents getting involved.
"We have a team of 20 experts who can give parents advice on their child's health and development."
