A FORMER post office is to be transformed into a 50-seater restaurant after councillors gave proposals the go-ahead.
The Hawley Road building, Wilmington, will be fitted with kitchens and revamped after permission was given by Dartford Council's development control board.
Residents in nearby Trafalgar Road, which backs on to the property, raised concerns including the impact of 50 customers on parking in surrounding streets.
Site owner Azziz Lucky already runs Bhojan Indian takeaway on the same road.
Mr Lucky said: "It will be a mix of Indian and Turkish food and I hope to be open by the end January.
"Residents have nothing to worry about.
"I have a big car park to cope with all of the customers."
