A VILLAGE shopping area was vandalised just weeks after it was refurbished.
Camer Parade in Meopham underwent the work to improve parking, pedestrian safety and disabled access.
These included resurfacing, new litter bins and adjustments to pavements.
The scheme was finished two weeks ahead of schedule in November last year. Since then the new metal barriers were removed by vandals and thrown through a shop window.
The damage has now been repaired.
The parish council wants anyone with information to call community wardens on 07813 713036 for Meopham north or 07977 981931 for Meopham south.
