BRIDGE CHANGES: Transport for London has proposed changes to its Thames Gateway Bridge scheme, including reducing the area in which Bexley residents will benefit from discounts. LADIES WHO LUNCH: Lunch-time networking group The Women's Company welcome new members to join their monthly meetings. The aim of the gatherings is to help women in business engage with the community. YOUR VIEWS: Residents are being invited to put forward their views about their area at a drop-in session on January 17 at Odd Fellows Hall, Maidstone Road, Sidcup. The session runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and is being put on by Bexley's Areas of Opportunity Team.
LIBRARY BOOST: Bexley's libraries are set to get 19,000 new books to meet increased demand following the success of the local libraries strategy. The first books bought with the extra money will begin to arrive in libraries at the beginning of February.
