A GROUP of professional women have raised more than £500 for charity by selling jewellery from abroad.
Members of the Gravesend and District Soroptimist Club sold beadwork made by women in South Africa.
The money goes to the Kidz Positive project which provides grassroots support for families affected by HIV/Aids.
Group members sold a range of beaded goods including pens, keyrings and glasses strings.
The orders by the club give the women in southern Africa a chance to generate income and support their familes.
The club has vowed to continue the project.
Member Isobel Kesby said: "It has gone so well we will be ordering more."
