PUBLIC consultations on the future of the borough's leading town centre is to begin.
Bromley Council has drawn up a list of options to safeguard Bromley town as a leading centre over the next 15 years.
This includes expanding The Glades shopping centre and creating a new square near the Churchill Theatre as well as attracting more bars, restaurants and cafes.
There are also plans to attract more retail companies after the closure of Allders and the Army & Navy store two years ago.
Local economy portfolio holder Councillor Colin Bloom said: "There are some really dynamic and exciting ideas which will breathe new life into the town while preserving the best of the character which makes Bromley special."
Around 25 per cent of Bromley's workforce is employed in the town centre.
Plans can be viewed on the following dates and locations: l January 19 to 21 The Glades shopping centre, Bromley High Street l January 23 to 27 Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley l January 30 to February 13 Central Library, High Street, Bromley l February 13 to 17 Civic Centre l February 20 to 24 Bromley Adult Education Centre, Nightingale Lane, Bromley.
