TURNOUT for a New Year's Eve walk was at an all-time high with 35 people taking part.
The two-hour winter warmer walk covered footpaths around the parish of Chalk.
Regional manager of Gravesend Library and local historian Christoph Bull said attendance is usually limited to around 12 people.
This year more than 30 people joined in and walked off festive excesses.
Mr Bull gave a historical talk about the rural area while the group walked the route.
He said: "It was a very successful walk on the final day of the year.
"It was on the only day during the Christmas holiday not grey, miserable and freezing cold."
