A MASTER craftsman has been rewarded for his loyal service to the forces.
James Bishop, 31, was named as craftsman of the year at the annual Territorial Army (TA) awards ceremony.
Mr Bishop works in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineer's (REME) workshop, which is based at the TA centre, Bromley Road, Catford.
The Lewisham resident has worked with the TA for nine years as a combat engineer and radio signaller.
Mr Bishop received a trophy from commanding officer Captain Trevor Rawson, at the ceremony at the TA's headquarters, in Central London.
Mr Bishop said: "I am very proud and honoured to receive the award.
"The TA is an interesting challenge and something which is a complete change from normal working life."
The REME workshop meets every Tuesday night.
