PEACE activists have protested outside Biggin Hill airport against alleged CIA terror flights. Bromley and Beckenham CND members were joined by representatives from Lewisham and Greenwich CND at the protest.
They were demonstrating following allegations the airport might have serviced 11 secret CIA flights transporting terrorism suspects' to secret destinations in Europe and the Middle East, where they would be tortured.
Bromley and Beckenham CND secretary Ann Garrett said: "It is distressing to say the least, such flights should land so near the memorial of our Second World War heroes, who died for the sake of justice, peace and defeating fascism."
Airport chiefs have denied knowlegde of the flights, which are alleged to have taken place since the September 11 attacks.
