SUPERMARKET shoppers used their loyalty cards to give thousands of pounds to community groups.
Grants totalling £2,475 were awarded from a supermarket's loyalty card scheme to groups in Bromley.
Mental health advice service the Bromley User Group has been awarded £1,000.
And £725 has been awarded to the Bromley Advocacy Alliance.
The Monday Afternooners club, part of cerebral palsy charity Bromley Scope, has been awarded £250.
And £500 has been given to the Albany District Scout Council.
The grants were provided by the Co- operative Group's community dividend fund, part of the Dividend customer loyalty scheme.
Dividend cardholders earn 1p dividend in the pound on all products.
It is paid out twice a year in full pounds and rather than rolling over the extra money to the next payment, shoppers can opt to donate the money to the dividend fund.
