RAISING NOTES: An evening of music and dance has raised £325 for charity. The concert, held last week at Bellingham North Community Centre, Bellingham Green, Bellingham, featured performances from bands and street dancers. The money will go to Sicklenemia, a Forest Hill-based charity for people suffering from sickle cell disease.
DRUGS RAID: Police uncovered 100 rocks of crack cocaine, a small quantity of cannabis and a ball-bearing gun during a drugs raid on the Milton Court Estate, Deptford, on December 14. A 16-year-old youth arrested at an address on the estate has been bailed to return to Lewisham Police Station next month.
ON THEIR BIKES: Greenwich police have donated £3,500 to the Archway Project, based in Harrow Manorway, Thamesmead, which aims to keep youngsters occupied and out of trouble by allowing them to maintain, repair and ride off-road motorbikes.
TOP TALKERS: Kidbrooke School's Teen Talk service, which offers advice to pupils on medical and emotional issues, won team of the year at this year's Health and Social Care Awards, run by the Department of Health.
AUDIO VISUAL: Residents can borrow two DVDs, videos and CDs for the price of one from libraries across Lewisham until January 29.
