POLICE made 27 arrests over the Christmas period for drink-driving related offences.
The arrests were made between December 1 and December 29 as part of Bexley police's Christmas and New Year crackdown on drink-drivers.
Drivers were arrested for either being unfit to drive, failing to provide a breath test or for providing a positive breath test.
Bexley police run the month-long campaign every December to target drink-fuelled and drugged-up drivers.
Acting borough commander Superintendent Martin Bagg said: "The Met has dedicated patrols to tackle those people who drive when drunk or drugged.
"Such behaviour ruins many lives at this time of year. We will catch and prosecute such menaces full stop. Think."
