INCONSIDERATE drivers who block access for disabled people will be hit with hefty fines, council chiefs have warned.
An increasing number of motorists are parking across sloping kerbs.
These are designed to improve access for the disabled, elderly people and parents with pushchairs.
Bexley Council says it will give a £50 fine to any driver parking in these spots.
Cabinet member for transport Councillor Daniel Francis said: "Parking across a sloping kerb is both dangerous and inconsiderate.
"These kerbs are off-limits when it comes to finding a parking space."

Is it an honest attempt at stopping inconsiderate motorists from badly affecting other people's lives?
Is it another example of the big brother state's control freakery?
