A YOUNG football team is celebrating after being presented with new training kit and equipment.
Northfleet Eagles Football Club received the kit, which includes T-shirts, stopwatches and first aid equipment, at a ceremony at Shears Green Primary School, White Avenue, Northfleet.
The club, which practices at the school and at the Old Gravesendians Rugby Club, Bronte View, has been running since 1992 and has 150 players aged between seven and 17 years old.
The donation was made as part of a £30m Barclays Spaces for Sports programme, a partnership between Barclays bank, the Football Foundation and environmental charity Groundwork. It provides kit and equipment to sporting communities across the UK.
