THOUSANDS of lights shone down on families gathered to remember their loved ones.
More than 1,000 people gathered at St Christopher's Hospice, Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, for the dedication of the 3,000 lights on the St Christopher's Remembrance Tree.
The lights on the tree will be on throughout the Christmas period to remember people who have died.
Director of nursing Penny Hansford said: "This year the tree seems to shine more brightly than ever.
"Each light symbolises hope and love."
Lights can be dedicated until January 6 by calling Sara Eldon on 020 8768 4572 or by downloading a form from the website stchristophers.org.uk St Christopher's cares for more than 2,000 patients a year across Bromley, Croydon and south east London.
