A POLICE sergeant put on climbing boots for a visit to the Peruvian mountains of South America.
Brockley bobby Debbie Arnold went on a six-day trek to raise £2,700 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
She began at Cuzco for an acclimatisation walk before moving onto Chilcha and Waylabamba.
By the sixth day she was on the Inca Trail, which took her to an altitude of 4,000m.
Ms Arnold saw one of the most spectacular archaeologal sites in the world Machu Picchu.
She said: "Personal experiences inspired me to go on the Inca Trail and raise money for cancer treatment at Great Ormond Street."
