A SPECTATOR has denied throwing a rock onto a pitch during a football match.
Spencer Glanfield, from Surrey, was arrested by police after violence erupted during a game between Dartford FC and AFC Wimbledon.
The 35-year-old was not present at Dartford Magistrates' Court on December 1 to answer a charge of throwing a missile.
A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf by his solicitor, Gurnam Mander.
Mr Mander said Glanfield was involved in a case of mistaken identity.
Following the incident on November 26, one man was taken to Darent Valley Hospital with cuts to his head and six others were removed from the ground by police.
Glanfield will reappear at Dartford Magistrates' Court on January 10 next year.
