SIX licensees have been fined for selling alcohol to children after an undercover operation.
Two pubs The Princess Alice, Battery Road, Thamesmead, and The Old Post Office, Passey Place, Eltham - have been fined £160 for selling booze to under-18s.
Lidl supermarket, Eynsham Drive, Abbey Wood, The Wine Barrel, Eltham High Street, Unwins, Footscray Road, Eltham and the Total Service Station, in the same road, were also fined.
The licensees were caught out following a joint operation between Greenwich Council officers and police.
Since the new laws came into force on November 24, officers have made more than 1,700 visits to licensed premises across the borough.
