PRIMARY school children in Greenwich are celebrating achieving record results.
Figures released last week reveal most Greenwich primary schools are scoring above the national average at Key Stage 2, the national assessment for 11-year-olds.
Greenwich's aggregate score for pupils reaching level 4 or higher, the expected standard for an 11-year-old, has increased by five points, compared to a national average of two points.
In the past year 30 schools in the borough have scored beyond the national average for the number of children reaching at least level 4.
Member for lifelong learning councillor Angela Cornforth says the results reflect the "hard work" of its schools staff.
She added: "It is important we continue to build upon our success and ensure that every young person in Greenwich gets the very best start in life."
