POLICE raids have targeted domestic violence and hate crime.

There were 80 arrests last week, of which 13 took place in Greenwich and 12 in Lewisham.

The remaining 55 arrests happened in 30 other boroughs including Bromley and Croydon.

These were for offences ranging from assault to racially-motivated crime.

The operation was part of the continued work of the Met's 32 community safety units which specialise in investigating hate crime and domestic violence.

Commander Steve Allen said: "Tackling hate crime and domestic violence remains one of the Metropolitan Police's top priorities.

"We hope last week's activities will demonstrate our continued commitment to tackling these terrible crimes which undermine our communities."
