POLICE are appealing for information about an armed robbery.
Three men in balaclavas with handguns approached a security van outside Nat West Bank in Old Dover Road, Greenwich, on December 1, at 9.50am.
They forced a guard to the floor and threatened him before stealing a large quantity of cash and heading off towards an alleyway leading to St John's Park.
The guard was not injured but was very shocked.
The robbery is being investigated by the Flying Squad.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Paul Dorey said: "It was just before 10am in the morning in a busy area and I'm sure there would have been a considerable number of people around.
"Did you see anything of these three men?"
Anyone with information should call Det Con Dorey on 020 7232 6530 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
