A MARQUEE in a school playing field was transformed into an ice palace to welcome a visit from Father Christmas.
Santa brought his wife and his reindeer to the Friends of Brampton Primary School's Christmas fair, where they entertained children surrounded by Christmas trees, presents and artificial snow.
In a second marquee there were stalls and sideshows, all with a seasonal theme, including seasonal treats such as mulled wine and mince pies.
Carols were provided by the Salvation Army and younger children were kept entertained with Christmas crafts.
More than 1,000 visited the fair at the school in Brampton Road, Bexleyheath, which took more than £7,500 on the day.
The profits will be spent on playground equipment and refurbishing the school library.
